ALL OVER THE PLACE With John Amor Tuesday Nights 7.00 pm to 8.30 pm |
![]() |
Beginning on air in 1992, All Over The Place is an hour and a half of music from just about anywhere with no particular place to go except Soultown.
Think Otis, Solomon, Aretha and the music that inspired them together with contemorary sounds that have their roots in the original R & B influences
After being taken to a Ray Charles concert by an older sister in the 60s John has remained enthralled by a music which came out of Black America and changed popular music for all time. Starting with Elvis and continuing with bands such as the Strokes, Blues, R & B and Soul remain the cornerstone of pop.
The band that was influenced as much by Sam Cooke as Elvis was The Beatles. Each All Over The Place program ends with A Day In The Life of that Band, playing time relevant and rare recordings.
If you like your music with lashings of Soul, TUNE IN to All Over The Place.
