CLASSIC ROCK SHOW   With Michael   Saturday Nights 9:00pm to Midnight

 

It all began March 6, 1999 at 9.30 p.m. The foundation of the show has always been rock from the late 60s, early 70s.  Another staple and distinctive feature has been the new recordings of classic rockers of that era. Before long the show starting time was moved back to 9pm and then, in an unfortunate move, the show for a brief time aired from 10 to midnight.  A season later we were back to full strength.

Some of the groups that you can expect to hear on Classic Rock USA are: Steppenwolf, Grand Funk Railroad, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Foghat, Rainbow, Black Sabbath, Led Zeppelin, Johnny Winter, Humble Pie, Mountain, Santana, Three Dog Night, Yes, Hendrix, Procol Harum, Slade, Whitesnake, Bad Company, Blue Oyster Cult, Montrose, B.T.O, The Allman Brother’s Band.  As well as lesser-known groups of the day: Detective, Bloodrock, Camel, Kahvas Jute and T.I.M.E.

Sprinkle in 50s rockers like Little Richard, Chuck Berry & Jerry Lee Lewis. Old Australian stuff and interviews with the likes of John Kay, Larry Byrom, and the Bondi Cigars.
